Recently attending an event at the Adelaide Convention Centre Eventful Projects was fortunate to experience a keynote presentation by Dr Gill Hicks.
Dr Gill Hicks was severely and permanently injured in the London bombings of July 2005, losing both legs from below the knee she discovered great inner strength not only to fight for her life that fateful morning but to walk again using prosthetic legs.
During the presentation Dr Gill Hicks presents her story in chilling detail which is softened with humour and a passion to create a peaceful world. I personally found this presentation inspirational, identifying with several key messages:
- Every action has a reaction
- Each one of us has the ability and strength to make a difference
- One person can make a difference and path the way for the others
Dr Gill Hicks is determined to make her life count and uses this tragic experience to do all she can to deter anyone from following a path of violent action. Creating M.A.D (Making A Difference) for Peace an organisation that communicates the importance of our individual responsibility in creating a world in which extreme conflict is ended.
At Eventful Projects we produce creative and unique event solutions. Our innovative approach to event management delivers remarkable and lasting experiences that captivate audiences.
