When event planning it’s essential to communicate effectively especially when venue finding. So what information do venues need and how do they need it?
Here are some Eventful Projects helpful tips:
Share your client’s profile, it’s important for the venue to know who you are representing, general information about the business and the event to be held.
Be transparent if you are looking at alternative venues to present to the client.
Identify the budget, by providing a venue with an event budget (even if it is an approximation) it gives them something to work with. As a result you will receive an offer that fits your requirements!
Provide a thorough brief or RFP, the more information you provide the venue the more accurate your proposal will be.
Mind your manners, do be responsive to the venue. Acknowledge the proposal once received and keep the venue updated. Once you have feedback from the client do share it with the venue irrespective of whether you will be proceeding or not.
